To enhance the operational efficiency of firefighters and strengthen the collaboration and emergency preparedness of HKUST staff, the Po Lam Fire Station, in collaboration with the HazMat Team, conducted a suspected chemical gas leak exercise on 21 April 2026 at 1000 hours at the Innovation Technology Centre, Dr. Lo Tak Kin Nano System Fabrication Laboratory, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
Both HKUST staff and firefighters responded swiftly and effectively, achieving the expected objectives and outcomes of the exercise.
